Get Outta Town: Atlanta features five hand-picked driving routes designed as easy escapes from Atlanta into the back roads, small towns, historic sites, parks, and countryside of Georgia. The routes were developed by local scouts and combine scenic roads with worthwhile stops along the way.

This isn’t a detailed backcountry navigation map. It’s a destination-and-route map—something to grab when you have a free Saturday, want to explore somewhere new, and would rather follow an interesting road than the fastest one.

Each route includes turn-by-turn directions along with suggested attractions and places worth stopping. Destinations and points of interest include locations such as Indian Springs State Park, Watson Mill Bridge State Park, Pickett’s Mill Battlefield, and Rolater Park, along with roadside attractions and local stops.
