The Disney-Marvel movie “Black Panther” crushed box office records raking in $218 million the first weeked in North America alone. After 12 days, the number was up over $700 million. At this point, it’s pretty safe to say this epic film will breach a billion dollars and that’s certainly impressive.
In addition to the amazing CGI and fresh storyline, the most memorable scene (to us, anyway) was the epic car chase between a gang of modded 5th-generation Toyota 4Runners and a Lexus LC500.
In the official trailer, you can get a good taste of the scene:
After a bit of investigation, we located the company that built the bumpers for the movie, Demello Off-Road. As they mentioned in the Instagram post below, they actually supplied the movie with over a dozen of their bumpers but weren’t exactly happy about their logo being removed.
And a bit more investigation turned up additional confirmation from Tacomaworld:
Unfortunately (spoiler alert!) the badass 4Runners get torn to shreds in the movie but it was definitely cool to see them on the big screen!
