If you’re into overlanding, exploring or traveling in general, you may be aware of Expedition Overland. This past week, Clay and company launched the third season of their popular YouTube series that documents their elaborate expeditions. This season focuses on the final leg of their marathon journey along the Pan American Highway (Alaska to Argentina). Chocked full of stunning visuals and elevated storytelling, this season definitely looks legit.
Expedition Overland takes overlanding to the next level. Shipping three fully-equipped Toyota vehicles on cargo freighters to another continent is quite compelling. While we love the stories told and the high-quality visuals, there’s a component of the series that’s been building with each season that could eventually wear on viewers. We’re well aware that producing a show of this magnitude without some sort of corporate sponsors is virtually impossible, but at times, it all seems a bit much. In our experience, when cool projects like this show go from grassroots to corporate, they lose a bit of the magic.
However, we’ll put up with the pseudo-Toyota commercial in exchange for some high-quality visuals of something that’s dear to our hearts.
